A nova backup file is a home screen layout created using Nova Launcher, a home screen replacement app for Android. It contains data Nova Launcher uses to load and display a custom Android home screen. Backup files are created in zip format. You can restore these backups at any time in Nova Launcher Backup or by importing the backup file in another device with Nova Launcher installed.
